Seminar Notes
Presented by: George H. Otto
January 22, 2002
This seminar introduces fundamental concepts underlying
interactive, three-dimensional systems and software. The intent is to
provide a conceptual framework for end-users at the beginning of their
involvement with 3-D graphics, in order to facilitate their
understanding of new concepts and techniques as their involvement with
graphics continues. The focus is on geometry representation and
transformations. Shading models, lights and rendering are discussed in Graphics Short Course
III: 3-D Color and Rendering.
